In Search of Ghostwriting Excellence

I decided to travel back in time to the archives of Inc. magazine, and came upon an intriguing article about how Tom Peters came to write his famous book, In Search of Excellence. It ushered in the era of the so-called "big idea" business book. Peters, along with his often forgotten co-author, Robert H. Waterman, Jr., took a long time to write and research the book, and ultimately enlisted the help of a ghostwriter to make it accessible to the "casual" business reader.  They had a goal of selling 200,000 copies. With over 4 million copies sold to date, they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Worth a read, click below.
